Born on October 4, 1997, Rishabh Pant is an Indian cricketer who is known for his batting and wicket-keeping skills. He is an important player in the Indian cricket team, having played in all formats of the game. Pant represents Delhi in domestic cricket and leads the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. Pant started his international career with Twenty20 International (T20I) debut in January 2017, followed by his Test debut in August 2018, and his One Day International (ODI) debut in October 2018. His consistency in Test cricket has earned him recognition, and he was named the ICC Men's Emerging Cricketer of the Year at the 2018 ICC Awards. In February 2021, Pant was honored with the Men's Player of the Month award in the first edition of the ICC Player of the Month Awards. Pant also served as the vice-captain of the India U-19 team that was the runner-up at the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In June 2022, he was appointed as the captain of the Indian cricket team for the T20I series against South Africa, following the injury of the designated captain KL Rahul.
