Ashutosh Mehta is a wing back who is strongly built and highly versatile and provides solidity and creativity in the middle of the park. He was a Hero I-League regular for Mumbai FC, and figured prominently in some of their notable results against stronger opponents. Based on his showing in 2012-13 season, he was chased by a few big outfits but chose to renew his commitment to his boyhood club for one more year. After featuring seven times for FC Pune City in the inaugural edition of the league, Mehta became a regular in the Mumbai City FC team sheet in 2015. He, however, made only five appearances for them in 2016, and joined ATK for the 2017-18 campaign, where he made 12 appearances for the side. The versatile defender returns to FC Pune City for the upcoming campaign.
