Jeje Lalpekhlua is an Indian footballer who currently plays for Chennaiyin in the Indian Super League. Born in the small village of Hnahthial in Mizoram, Jeje had a football fanatic family. He has been with Chennaiyin FC since 2014 and is the leading Indian goal scorer in Hero ISL history. Jeje ended the 2017-18 season with nine goals to his name, which made him the first Indian to finish as the top scorer of a championship winning side. He has been vital for India since his debut in 2011 and recently earned his 50th national cap in a game against New Zealand in the Hero Intercontinental Cup 2018.
