A regular for Bengaluru FC during their time in the Hero I-League and their debut Hero ISL 2017-18 season, John James Johnson is a graduate of the Middlesbrough youth academy. After debuting against Chelsea FC, he was loaned off to first division sides, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. Johnson made the switch to Bengaluru FC in 2013-14 and established himself as one of the finest defenders in Indian football over the five seasons he spent there. With ATK, he would be hoping to lead the backline and guide the side to their third Hero ISL title.
