Jamshedpur FC have made it two wins out of two to start their ISL 2025-26 campaign! Watch the full highlights as Owen Coyle's Red Miners ground out a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Punjab FC in a very cagey affair at the JRD Tata Sports Complex (The Furnace).

In what was Punjab FC's first match of the season, head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis set his team up to be difficult to break down. The first half offered very little in terms of clear-cut chances. Punjab's Bikash Singh had a goal ruled out for offside in the 18th minute, while Jamshedpur’s Nikola Stojanović and Pratik Chaudhari threatened briefly for the hosts but failed to test the keeper.

The second half continued in a similarly scrappy fashion, with both defenses holding firm and the midfield battle dominating the pitch. Jamshedpur goalkeeper Albino Gomes was called into action and made crucial saves to deny Muhammad Suhail and Khaiminthang Lhungdim, earning his second consecutive clean sheet.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 78th minute thanks to a moment of fortune for the hosts. Mohammed Sanan delivered a teasing low cross from the left flank. Punjab FC goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh attempted to palm the ball away but only succeeded in pushing it directly into the path of Vincy Barretto [78']. The forward reacted instantly to tap the rebound into the empty net, sealing all three points for Jamshedpur FC.
