Brandon Fernandes is a young and dynamic attacking midfielder hailing from Margao. Football is something he has grown up with, having started aged 6 at the Fransa-Pax youth academy. Following this he represented the Salgaocar under-14, under-16 and under-19 teams, simultaneously appearing for the India under-14 and under-17 sides. In 2012 Brandon was strongly linked to play English football, having undergone trials with Reading FC and Leicester City. Brandon fine-tuned his game during his stint with ASD Cape Town's youth side. In 2014, Brandon managed to win the Football Gold Medal at the Lusophonia Games by crucially scoring in the final over African side, Mozambique. Brandon followed this achievement up with his senior team debut for Sporting Clube de Goa in the I-League landing 3 goals in 9 appearances - his first coming, ironically, against Salgaocar. He made a couple of appearances for Mumbai City FC in 2015 and will be playing his trade for the Gaurs this season.
